I hope that you can provide me with nutritional information on Schlotzsky’s sandwiches, the original in particular. I have asked at the restaurant here, but they don’t have the information available. I appreciate anything you can give me. I would like to know the following at the least. How many calories? How many grams of fat? How much fiber (if any)? I would like this information for their small original. Schlotzsky’s is not just local to Oklahoma. There is a place on the internet which doesn’t have this information for Pennsylvania. Thank you.

Schlotzsky’s original sandwich is lunchmeat (ham, salami), cheese, olives, onions, lettuce, tomato, and mustard, on a sourdough bun. The latest nutritional information is available on their website. One small original sandwich has 562 calories, 26 grams fat (12 grams saturated fat, 1 gram trans fat) 85 milligrams cholesterol, 1,841 milligrams sodium (77% of your daily recommended amount for sodium) 52 grams carbohydrate, 3 grams fiber and 28 grams protein. The reason the calories, fat, and sodium are so high is due to the ham, salami, cheese, and olives.

The turkey, chicken, and tuna sandwiches are lower in fat (from 4 to 11 grams fat), but still way too high in sodium with almost all over 774 milligrams per sandwich and the majority over 1,000 milligrams sodium. Ironically the BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato) has only 551 milligrams sodium which is not what one would expect from a sandwich with bacon but does have 12 grams fat. The deluxe original has 3,132 milligrams sodium which is 130% of the daily recommended amount of sodium.
